Lancaster, PA  – Beginning this Fall, the Lancaster Family YMCA will partner with the School District of Lancaster to provide a full-year, fully subsidized Kindergarten readiness program to 20 children in need. This partnership is part of the Learning Lancaster Collaborative – one of the 16 initiatives selected by the United Way of Lancaster County for funding over the next three years.

The Lancaster Family YMCA currently offers full-day pre-school/pre-K services to families in the community as part of its School Readiness signature program.  This new partnership will allow the Y to increase access to early learning opportunities for children whose families would otherwise lack the financial resources to take advantage of these vital programs.
