My five-year old daughter Peyton Krebs has been attending the Lancaster Family YMCA Child Care Center for about two months and we are so incredibly thrilled with the time she has spent there.
As is true for many parents, it can be a hard transition when a child first begins a new preschool program, but Peyton’s initial anxiety was quickly overcome through the Center’s welcoming environment and the excellent care of Director Jennifer Garcia and her teachers. Peyton is a very shy and quiet young girl, and yet she now comes home singing songs that she learned that day and is elated over her new friends! She is excited to tell me about the projects and lessons of the day, such as learning about the jungle and rain forest after the teachers read them the book, “Where the Wild Things Are.”
Before enrolling Peyton at the Y’s Child Care Center, I considered many options. I toured numerous local “high-end” pre-schools as well as private caretakers. After meeting with Jennifer and touring the Center we knew it was our place. The staff is so friendly and accessible, and we feel such trust and confidence that Peyton is spending her day in a nurturing environment where she is really blooming!
