My Y is Every Y in Pennsylvania

The Lancaster Family YMCA along with other YMCAs in Pennsylvania participate in a PA Reciprocity program – My Y is Every Y in Pennsylvania – providing you with expanded access to YMCA branches across the state. The spirit behind this program is founded in the belief that the YMCA is one movement, and members should be able to utilize Y branches as often as they can to help meet their health and wellness needs.

The My Y is Every Y program comes with no additional fees to you and is open to any full-facility member with an active membership whose home branch participates in the program.

Taking advantage of this program is easy. Simply take your Y membership card and a photo ID to the participating PA YMCA you would like to visit. The welcome desk staff at participating PA YMCAs will have access to a list of all Y members whose home branches are part of the program. We encourage you to call or visit the website of the PA YMCA branch you would like to visit to confirm their participation in the program and review any restrictions they may have for visiting Y members.

Please note: The YMCA AWAY program is still offered at YMCAs across the country. The new PA YMCA reciprocity program does not replace the AWAY program, but is just an added benefit for Y members in Pennsylvania.

Restrictions to the Program

The PA YMCA Reciprocity program does come with a few restrictions.

  • As a visiting “reciprocal” Y member you will not be eligible for a member discount if you register for a Y program at any participating YMCAs – aside from your home branch. You would pay the non-member program rate for that program.
  • You will not be able to bring guests with you if you are visiting a participating Y. Guest passes are only available for use at your home branch.

Lancaster Family YMCA specific restrictions/guidelines to the PA reciprocity program

  • A visiting “reciprocal” Y member is not eligible for the SMART Start program.
  • A visiting “reciprocal” Y may schedule a 30-minute equipment orientation.
  • A visiting “reciprocal” Y may use child watch services for free for up to 2 hours if they have a family membership. If not, a $2 per child fee applies.
  • Access to the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA Outdoor Pool is not included in Y membership. All Lancaster Family YMCA members and visiting “reciprocal” Y members must purchase a separate Outdoor Pool pass to use that pool.
