YMCA Association Summer Day Camp: Coordinator

Qualified candidate must be able to provide high quality child care to the children in the YMCA Summer Camp Program. This position is also responsible for identifying, and responding appropriately to, member wants, needs, and expectations through caring, honest, respectful, and responsible actions and interactions that contribute to the relationship between the member and the YMCA organization. Will be required to implement and oversee weekly activity planning, manage on-site staff, and have the responsibility to report any violations of policy or staff concerns promptly. Administers communication and feedback systems to achieve measurable improvement in meeting member needs and expectations. Maintain communication with parents of current and prospective Summer Camp students, through direct conversation, newsletters, calendars and develop outreach communications such as; bulletin boards, white boards, email blasts, etc. and facilitate relationship building opportunities between program families and the YMCA. Hours would vary from 7 AM until 6 PM. Will be required to participate in continuing education, trainings and weekly staff meetings. Required Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field or Associate’s Degree in Education or related field. Required 2 years of documented experience working with children. This is a seasonal, full-time, hourly position.
