In 2017, the Lancaster Family YMCA provided $771,019 in direct financial assistance and subsidized services to the community for participation in Y membership and programs.
Your gifts to our 2018 ANNUAL SUPPORT CAMPAIGN will allow us to continue to provide this assistance and services and to strengthen the people of Lancaster County through our mission priorities of Closing the Academic Achievement Gap, Safety Around Water, and Chronic Disease Prevention and Recovery.
On May 5, we’re offering Safety Around Water classes at all Y branches. These classes are geared towards children who have not had previous swimming or water safety instruction and cannot jump into the water and exit on their own. These classes will give children an overview of water safety skills and provide parents with an assessment of their child’s current skill level and needs.
Safety Around Water classes are offered at no cost but registration for the class is required and can be completed at any YMCA branch or through the YMCA’s online program registration portal.
