Summer Employment Opportunities

We are a co-ed summer youth camp offering day camps, resident programs and adventure and service-based programs. We are eager to hire talented and energetic staff members who are truly interested in providing exceptional leadership to our campers. A summer camp job can be the toughest job you’ll ever love! Cabin Counselor – MALE (RESIDENT CAMP)

Now through August 9, 2019

Minimum Age: 18 years old.

Special Requirements: High School Diploma preferred. Must reside in a cabin with campers.

Salary: $225.00 to $250.00 per week, 6 days a week

Description: Live with and supervise a group of campers, first through sixth grades. This position requires that you are a positive role model for campers, work closely with directors, other counselors, specialists and volunteers. Leading, general problem solving, planning and assisting camp activities, skits, games, singing, dancing, acting and evening programs. Providing supervision during meals, pool and waterfront activities. Daily chores and duties are required. Life Guard Certification is a plus!

 

Teen Service Camp Counselor – MALE (RESIDENT CAMP)

Now through August 9, 2019

Special Requirements: High School diploma, clean driving record (Must Transport Campers) and must reside in a cabin with campers, service minded and ability to participant in manual labor projects

Salary: $225 to $250 a week

Description: Service camp is a program that allows grades 8 through 10 to learn and participate in service projects throughout camp and in nearby communities. Days are spent working on tasks and chores in camp, two off-site trips per week to perform community service out reach. Campers also participate in scheduled camp activities throughout the week. Counselors will work with a co-counselor (One Male, One Female), Program Director, other staff and volunteers to plan and carry out on site and community projects. Service Camp Counselors are expected to be positive role models, community service minded and a willingness to participate in activities. Maintenance and grounds keeping experience a plus. Be advised that some service projects require manual labor!

Camp staff requirements
  • Have current First Aid, CPR and AED Training; Up-to-date Pennsylvania Criminal and Child Abuse background clearances and FBI clearances.
  • Have the ability and willingness to fill in as needed in any area of camp for which you are qualified, including some weekend duties.
  • Have the ability to lift at least 30 pounds, some positions require as much as 50 pounds; maneuver in the camp’s natural terrain and actively participate in camp activities.
  • Responsibilities could include covering bus stop and/ or transportation tasks beginning at 7:00 am until 6:00 pm.
  • Any staff residing in camp will be required to be present from Sunday at 11:30 am until Friday at 7:00 pm and participate in Resident Camp Activities as directed.
  • All staff and volunteers are expected to embrace our “I’m Third” community of putting your beliefs first, others second, and yourself third.
  • Camp Specialists will work with day, resident and visiting groups, and can live on or off camp.
