Thanks for a wonderful summer.
Registration for our 2018 camps will open in December.
Counselor In Training (CIT)
Campers ages 15-16 . (Must be 15 as of 6/1/18)
This program is for campers who are ready to transition from camper to staff. For two weeks, CIT’s will get the opportunity to work with children and develop leadership skills. They will spend time on Camp Shand’s challenge course and learn to lead songs and a variety of camp activities. CIT’s will have the chance to participate in both Day and Resident programs. During the second week, CIT’s will be placed with cabins to assist counselors and gain some valuable firsthand experience. Our CIT Director will be there to guide them on their challenging and fun journey as a Camp Shand Counselor-in-Training.
Teen Adventure Day Camp
Campers entering 7th-9th grade
Get ready for a great summer! Our small group format allows teens to work as a group, help plan activities and take regular camp activities to a new level. With positive staff role models who know how to keep teens challenged while having fun, this program builds self-confidence and leadership skills. Each day includes several hours of activities based on the week’s theme which leads up to a weekly field trip. Participation in these activities is required for participation in the field trip.
Resident Camp Extreme
Campers entering grade 7th-9th grade
Take resident camp to the extreme! If you thought resident camp was fun, wait ’til you see these camping adventures! Spend days (and nights!) exploring the outlying areas of Camp Shand.
Campers entering 8th-10th grade
It’s never too soon to learn the value of service! At Service Camp, you’ll have a great time learning new skills while helping others. Days will be spent working on projects at camp and volunteering at other non-profit organizations in the Lebanon and Lancaster areas. Nights will be spent enjoying regular camp activities.
