Larry M. Richardson – CEO – Larry Richardson is the current President/CEO of the YMCA of York and York County which is 165 years old in 2020 and now serves, effective September 1, 2020, as the CEO of the Lancaster Family YMCA under a management agreement. Larry has served in York since 1994. He is also the President of Y Community Development Corporation, the YMCA’s community development arm.
Prior to his YMCA career Larry was in education and coached college football for 8 years and was a head high school football coach for 4 years.
Larry currently serves on the boards of Better York, Servants Inc., PA State Alliance of YMCA’s and chairs the Public Policy Committee. Larry is also a past board member of YorkMetro, Downtown Inc., past president of the West York School District Foundation and a past elder at Grace Fellowship Church. Larry has also served as a volunteer in Leadership York’s Mentorship Program.
Larry has an MS in Education from Mansfield University and a BA in Psychology from Lafayette College.
Larry has been married to his wife Lisa for 37 years and has three children and three grandchildren.

Cynthia M. Aument, CPA, CGMA, CTP – CFO – As the Chief Financial Officer, Cindy provides direction and leadership for Lancaster Family YMCA finance and business operations. She has served in this position for over five years.
Cindy previously held the positions of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for 140 East Market Street, L.P. (formerly Susquehanna Real Estate, L.P.), a real estate developer, and Assistant Treasurer of Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Co., a privately-held ESOP company. She began her career in public accounting. She served as a volunteer for over fifteen years with the United Way of York County, on the Board of Directors as well as Finance Committee. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA.
Cindy has been married to her husband Jeff for 32 years and has two children.
Jessica Rodriguez – Director of Healthy Living – As a Member of the Lancaster Family YMCA Association for 9 years Jessica has seen her family grow in our Y, had first had experience with the Member impact, and always found the LFYMCA to be her source for wellness and one of her favorite places to spend her leisure time. With a BA in Business Management, she has led Leaders of Teams of up to 175 employees over the past 13 years in retail, warehousing, startup, and non-profit industries. Sales, Logistics, and Operations have been her focuses; however, she focuses to drive culture and employee development.
When Jessica began at the YMCA over a year ago as a Healthy Living Director, she meshed her leadership experience, operational and logistical experiences, love for developing others together with my Community. She quickly began to lead Community Health for our Association, then took to role to include Membership Director. Now, the Director of Operations, her focus stays the same- to plan for sustainability and growth and build a culture and a Team that has the ability and tools they need to impact others. As a Leader of Leaders, she knows that their success will ultimately impact every Member’s life. At our YMCA our roles not only product an output, but change lives.
Jennifer Youndt – City Center and Lampeter Strasburg Membership Director – After 10 years in the restaurant industry and customer serves she wanted to work for the YMCA to help members find their passion for an exercise they would enjoy for a lifetime. First starting as a Group Fitness Teacher, moving to Membership Specialist, Health and Wellness and Aquatics Director. She was trained in the YMCA LIVESTRONG program which works with past cancer survivors get their health back with fitness training and social community meetings to work on achieving their goals to become healthier. I have enjoyed being in every roll at the YMCA as you realize how much of an impact you can have on the member’s experience at the YMCA in any position. I am thankful for the YMCA and stepping into the leadership role has helped me keep a positive look on every day which has helped keep YMCA staff and members staying at the YMCA . Stay positive and take the time to help one another. Every day you will have challenges but with the YMCA team they work to make a difference in the Community.
Melissa Adams – Director of Youth Development – Melissa has been with the Lancaster Family YMCA for 8 years working in our Youth Development programming which includes, Summer Camp, PreK Counts, PreK Camp, Power Scholars, and B/A School for PreK. Previously Melissa worked for over 20 years in Early Childhood Education. Melissa has a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Kutztown University.
Megan Hill – Director of Human Resources – Megan has been with the YMCA of York and York County for 4 years in her current role, which includes management over employee relations, payroll, benefits, compensation, talent management, recruiting and onboarding, and culture building. Effective September 1, 2020, Megan gives support to HR services at the Lancaster Family YMCA under a management agreement. Megan has an additional 9 years of progressive Human Resources experience and has a degree in Sociology from Randolph-Macon College. She is currently working on her Team Leader certification with YUSA.
Joe Kirkenir – Director of Development and Communications – Joe joined the YMCA of York and York County 2 years ago to oversee the organization’s fundraising and marketing efforts. Since the fall of 2020, he has been working with the team at the Lancaster Family YMCA to coordinate new development and communication procedures under a management agreement. Joe has over 6 years of experience in nonprofit adminstration, holds leadership positions in community organizations, is an English Major from Gettysburg College, and has earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Millersville University. During his free time, Joe likes to read, run, and drink coffee.
The strength and stability of the Lancaster Family YMCA lies within our leadership. The boards of directors and managers are comprised of dedicated local volunteers who help govern the YMCA with a strong sense of responsibility for the quality of life in our community. Working together with our professional leadership staff, they help determine program direction and YMCA policy.
