LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

Helping Cancer Survivors Reclaim Their Health

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is an evidence-based program that helps cancer survivors move past the physical and emotional effects of cancer treatments and reclaim their health and wellness. In this 12-week program a small group of participants and a personal trainer gather twice weekly for 90-minute sessions of exercise and support at the YMCA branches. The program is provided to the cancer survivor and a support buddy at no cost.

  • Our next session will begin the week of 09/07/2021 and run through 12/2021 ending prior to the holidays.
  • Meetings will be held at either Lampeter- Strasburg or City Center branches based on the location of our participants who enroll.
  • After completing the form below, those interested will be contacted to discuss next steps and scheduling.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is for all cancer survivors. Candidates who are evaluated as ready to participate are welcome to join the class whether they are still undergoing active treatment (chemotherapy and radiation therapy) or have completed treatment. Completing treatment prior to joining the class has shown to help with higher levels of class participation.
