LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA

Helping Cancer Survivors Reclaim Their Health

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is an evidence-based program that helps cancer survivors move past the physical and emotional effects of cancer treatments and reclaim their health and wellness. In this 12-week program a small group of participants and a personal trainer gather twice weekly at our YMCA branches for 90-minute sessions of exercise and support. The program is provided to the cancer survivor and a support buddy at no cost.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is for all cancer survivors. Candidates who are evaluated as ready to participate are welcome to join the class whether they are still undergoing active treatment (chemotherapy and radiation therapy) or have completed treatment. Completing treatment prior to joining the class has shown to help with higher levels of class participation.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is offered at our Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA, City Center YMCA and YMCA at New Holland branches. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in becoming a LIVESTRONG at the YMCA participant please contact:
